Volunteer Management Systems

Hi ...
I'm looking for Tessitura organizations that are currently using a third party volunteer management system and would appreciate any recommendations.
Thanks in advance,

  • Hi - we built a wordpress site for this purpose, there are a couple of volunteer plugins available.

When the volunteer logs on for the first time they must agree to terms and conditions before they can register fully.

I set up PTA Volunteer sign up sheets, which I liked and could be used for scheduling volunteers if you are happy to leave it up to them to sign up for a particular slot.

Our Volunteer Coordinator wanted more control so we set up a form (with every shift at every location over the Festival) where the volunteer could registered their availability .

We then used Shiftee which is a staff scheduling plugin - this allowed the VC to schedule volunteers for their shifts. The V can then login and see what their schedule is.

I'm not sure how functionality stacks up against dedicated volunteer software but we have a webserver on site for our Intranet so the cost was almost zero.

    Cheers
