Hello! Our organization is less than a year into using Tessitura, but we have great need for online registration (through TNEW) for our Children's Theater Camps. At this point we are still using paper forms for registration and we are trying to get away from that.
There is a catch: we'd like parents to be able to sign up online, provide payment, but only be charged once their child has been accepted into the camp (in other words, unlike with ticket sales where payment is taken immediately). As you can imagine, we only have so many openings within the camps and we want to avoid refunding parents who sign up once the camp is at capacity. Is there a way to do this in Tessitura via TNEW? Please keep in mind we're in our infancy with Tessitura - please be patient with me! I will likely have plenty of questions :)

We have a two zone facility for camp. Our Camp zone is our capacity plus with holds on the overage. Additionally, we have a wait list zone and $0 price type that we disable until we sell out and enable to collect registrations after we are full. If we do have spots open the camp manager collects payment over the phone and moves the tickets from the wait list zone to the camp zone.
For you specific question, in the past, we linked to an aux event with a promo code embedded at a zero dollar cost and the camp manager then followed up with a link to just the performance to collect payment and she would manually refund the original $0 seat and manage capacity. We could not take payment ahead of time.
Just a side not, I'm not sure what your registration is like but we learned the hard way when dropping registrations into a CSI that there is a very specific format for text to columns in excel for easier camp management of all registrations. There was a thread on it but I have documentation on it if you need it.
