Has anyone had any success in creating a custom utility that generates and sends event reminder emails out of Tessitura to patrons with tickets for a specific event? Years ago, another organization actually created such a utility and was kind enough to allow us to use it, but it stopped working 3 or 4 upgrades ago, and anyone that might remember who shared the original utility with us has long since left the organization. We are currently sending event reminders through Mail Chimp, but with the number of events we have, creating a different e-blast for every performance is quite tedious and time-consuming. Would love it if we could go back to using Tessitura for this.
Couple of questions:
I can't be much help, as we use Wordfly for all of our emailing. Wordfly and Mail2 integrate with Tessitura and make things like event reminders fairly trivial.
As to the first question, I know that some of my internal custom procedures that produced emails stopped working a while back because they changed the SQL mailing system that they supported to msdb.dbo.sp_send_dbmail.
