Hi there,
We are in Australia and are looking at using TRBO for portable ticket sales and memberships. Because there are no chip-reading enable EFT card readers for the Australian market that interface with TRBO we would like to create a 'placeholder' payment method like cash, and then take the payment with our WestPac EFT terminals in the same way we do from out desktop clients.
Is this possible in TRBO or does it force you to use their default checkout ie manually enter credit card and sign with your finger on touch screen.
Thanks
Aaron,
TRBO has an "External Authorization" mode (selected on the options screen as a card reader type) that I think will let you do what you are asking. This mode puts two fields on the checkout screen "Authorization" and "Reference", which you can fill in with data from you EFT terminals. You'll need to configure payment methods for this for TRBO to use, without the Auth Online box checked.

Could this potentially be a work around to accept Cash via TRBO as well?
I was wondering the same thing!
Currently TRBO cannot use non-Credit Card payment methods. In the future, we might make this enhancement, which would certainly open up other solutions for using the EFT terminals. There is no timing for such an enhancement at this time.
So if we used the "External Authorization" mode, would that make it so we couldn't use credit cards through TRBO as well? What are the requirements for the authorization and reference fields?
