Scheduling MOS additions

Hi Everyone,

We do a great many pre-sales before public announcements of upcoming performances. As such we don't want our performances to appear on our TNew site in the default Web MOS. So we apply only a Pre-Sale MOS to the new performances and then have to manually apply the regular Modes of Sale in real-time when the announcement is made using Season Maintenance.

Needless to say I'd much rather be able to time shift this MOS setup. My most wanted version of this is a per-MOS publish date (anyone else making this feature request every two weeks?).

So my questions for you out there in the community are:

1. Does anyone have a good way to do this?

2. Can we make a Utility to setup an agent job in SSMS?

Thank you for considering my conundrum

-Jeff

This may not answer your question but we do our pre-sales through multiple pre-sale MOS shifts with a promo code in the Web_Source_No table and use the MOS dates/ times and the source for promo code dates/times to control when these MOS and pre-sales shifts are available. We send the link out to pre-sale recipients with the promo code embedded.

  • This sounds a lot like what we're doing. With the exception that we're going through periods where we want to send recipients to an event listing, instead of directly to a particular performance.  Since we're granting early access to our whole season before the public announcement we don't want the not-yet-on-sale performances to show up in the public event listing, only in the event listing after the MOS shift.

Ahh. Gotcha. It was worth a shot. With the way we build we are able to deep link to the Production Season with the promo embedded in the link so only our performances with that presale MOS are available from that link. Instead of the Event listing we use our marketing site and hidden pages there. Good luck!
