Trouble With Printer "Sticking"

With our open office we have laptops to be able to be nimble with their usage. One of our box office window has to use a network connection to a printer through one specific computer. The path looks like this --> \\T3BOXRZM.steppenwolf.org\BocaUpstairs to get at that printer from my computer. I'm having trouble getting the printer to "stick" in my preferences which means that I have to choose the printer each time I print something. I can print, just have to jump through an extra hoop to make it happen. This is a small issue, but is there anyone out there that knows how you can get a printer to stick? Documentation that was sent to our IT about this issue previously doesn't work.

  • Hi James. Does the Tessitura shortcut on that workstation point to a local .ini file in the target field or one on a network folder somewhere? We used a shared .ini for years until we noticed that the default printer would jump around (seemingly) at random. Pointing everyone at a locally saved .ini fixed the issue.
