Citrix XenApp Issues on Mac

I am working from out of town on my personal MacBook Air (OS Sierra) that I have used previously with no issue. Over the last two days I have been in Tess and as soon as I jump over to another application on the computer (Chrome, Excel, etc) and then click back over to Tess I get the infamous "wheel of death" and have to force quit Tess. Pretty much I cannot get any work done in Tess and Excel at the same time which is proving to be very difficult. Has anyone had this issue and how have you been able to overcome?

    This isn't exactly the same situation (since I don't use Tess on a Mac) but I do have Citrix XenApp installed on my iPad Pro and I have found more recently that being in Tessitura through there and pressing the "Home" button to go check email or our help tickets is nearly an "instant exit" with regard to having to force-quit the Citrix app and then get back into it.

    This might be worth submitting a support ticket to Tessitura about, just to have it on their radar.
