Setting up Infomaker

We currently only have infomaker up and running on one computer (and it was setup by someone who no longer works with the company).  We got Infomaker installed on my computer today, but when I tried to connect to the database I ran into some trouble.  On the other computer, our Tess databases are configured under and OLE DB Database Interface.  This option doesn't even exist in the database profile window on my computer... and I don't know how to add it.  Can anyone help?!

    Hi Emily

The OLE db  option is not part of the Infomaker default install.

You need to re- install IM – do a Custom install, and select the ole db option.

  • Hello,

I am really new here at the Santa Fe Opera.  I received preferred pricing from Tessitura's provider for Infomaker 12.x.  My question is "does this need to gon on the Tess server or is it on a client for report writing via a connection?"

    Thanks

    John Brandt

  • Hi John -

It's usually on a client for report writing - but this depends on your setup and who needs access to it. The Tessitura client does not need it to function.

You might want to look at this thread for more info about 12.x - there's differences in a stand alone license and server license for version 12 which you'll also have to consider.
