We have two newer BOCAs with network ports, and two older BOCAs with parallel only.
The newer BOCAs print fine over the network when they are installed directly using the TCP/IP address on a local machine. But rather than install on each machine, I'd like to have it on our Windows 2012 print server, and deploy it via GPO. But when we print through the print server, it either takes 1-2 minutes before the job goes through, or it doesn't go through at all. I see the same results when printing directly from the 2012 server. And to be clear, there's no RDP session involved in any of the above scenerios.
We don't have this issue with any of a dozen other printers we use, including the two older BOCAs that are connected via a couple of old parallel port Jetdirects to the network.
Any ideas as to what could be the cause here?
Jeremy-
We have a similar set up here and don't see these issues. Note that we print directly to the printers so there isn't really any spooling going on. IIRC this is the suggested setting regardless of GPO deployment or not.
