NScan TC75

We recently acquired a TC75 scanner, we love it, but we miss a few features and are looking for any suggestions or fixes for the following:

• Our older models have an "App Center" where we are able to focus the staff towards just the NScan app only. 
  • Does the TC75 have something similar included or do we need to download a third party android app?
• Our older models allowed us to scan by pushing the buttons on both sides of the device as well as the yellow tactile button above the keyboard.
  • The keyboard is gone, no loss the touchscreen is amazing on the TC75, but we would love to repurpose the volume keys to also be used for scanning. I know the path is there, I found it, but I wonder if anyone has had the experience and can supply a map to the finish line. 

Any all suggestions and feedback is greatly appreciated.
