Hi everyone,
We are working on an IT asset refresh, and I was wondering- more for the small to medium organizations- what your “I wish we could do/I wish we had done” scenarios would be server-wise. Whether it was “more RAM (isn’t it always!)”, “I wish we had kept other program x/y/z off of the db server”, etc, it would be lovely to hear your thoughts and discoveries.

I wish all of my server configurations were documented in code, versioned in source control, and automatable.
It's not as though I need to be able to build a new server environment any day of the week, but if I knew I could do it with the press of a button, and that it was guaranteed to be functionally identical to the current production environment, it would sure be a lot less stressful.
