Has anyone else had any issues with the January Windows 2003 patches and the Report Server? We've had some issues in our Test environment since applying the patches. Constant Data Execution Prevention errors for Background Report Generator keep popping up in Windows 2003.
It doesn't actually stop reports from running, but it does make me a bit nervous about patching the Production environment.
We got these a while ago. Apparently the background Report Generator does not play well with DEP. You can disable DEP for just that one app. Bring up system properties and go to the Advanced Tab. The click on settings under performance. Go to the Data Execution Prevention tab and you can add an exception for the background Report Generator.
