I'm having pemission errors trying to deploy an SSRS report template from MS Visual Studio. We have a brand new outscoured IT department unfamiliar with Tessitura and they do not know where to update my permissions, is it on the report server, my local machine/windows login, etc.
Any help would appreciated
Thanks
Geoff
Hi Geoff,
In case you haven't already solved this issue:
Go to your Report Url (your_server_name/Reports),
I hope that helps!Debbie
Hi Debbie, I’m getting back to trying to solve this issue. Can we take a step back and help me determine what/where my “home server” is?

You should have the server name stored in SSRS_URL in T_DEFAULTS, for example, it might read something like http://WestportServer/ReportServer
Adding to Debbie's instructions, log onto your production server, open a browser and type WestportServer/Reports in the address bar then follow the rest.

Internet Explorer. An existing admin needs to access the web interface for SSRS to configure security and permissions.
Here's a screenshot that may clarify things: http://d.pr/i/zZevQL/4rpqMvhk
If you don't have access to SSRS admin, but you do have admin on the whole server instance, you can get in by launching Internet Explorer as administrator on the same machine, AND access the web interface by explicitly specifying localhost instead of the server's hostname. I had to do this when I started working with SSRS on our shiny new Tessitura instance because we didn't know any better in advance.
Ok, got that, now what piece of software should I use change the permission.
