Hello All,
I am interested in creating a formal training program for Tessitura users here at my organization to ensure that institutional standards are being clearly communicated across many departments that all use the system differently.
I am envisioning a tiered strategy where all new users will need to attend a basic training introducing them to the system, consistuent records, and our data entry standards. Others may also need to attend a 'reporting' training, which covers reports, lists, output sets etc. Individual business areas will still be responsible for training their staff on their specific business processes.
Does anyone else have a training strategy they'd be willing to share? Do you offer training based on functional areas (Ticketing, Development, etc.)? Do you lean on much of the Tessitura documentation, webinars, and T-Classes or are all of your materials created in-house?
Curious to see what has worked for others!
Thanks,
RhondaLeigh
Like Tulsa, our consortium is in the early stages of getting training standards developed, though we may be slightly farther along.
So far we have developed "Getting Started" documents for various functional areas that I send out anytime I issue a new username and RAMP token - i.e. as part of the onboarding package for a new employee. We've also started putting together standardized training agendas by functional area, based loosely off the training agendas available on this website. Really, everything we have is quite similar to what's found here (http://www.tessituranetwork.com/network/Learning/Getting%20Started%20with%20Tessitura.aspx) but is both distilled and modified to be a better fit for our consortium users.
We're really fortunate that the Network provides so much documentation and recorded training; so I try to leverage it, via hyperlinks, as much as possible when we develop our own documents (rather than re-inventing the wheel).
I've uploaded a sample of our Getting Started and basic agenda for Development to my profile if anyone wants to have a look!
