Are any other RAMP customers using the IDTech SecureKey m130 units, or the m100 units and experiencing 101 Invalid Data or error messages such as "CardNumber Required"?
We're experiencing an increase in Invalid Data response codes from Element since switching to the Citrix environment. Wondering if any other RAMP users are seeing an increase in bad data errors coming back from Element and if there's any correlation with migration to Citrix?
Data: A query of our T_CC_SERVER_LOG reveals that from Q3 2015 thru Q4 2016, while we were still on 2x, 0.08% of our transactions returned a response code of 101 Invalid Data. In Q1 2017, we began using Citrix. For Q1 2017, our occurrence of 101 Invalid Data responses was 1.34% of total transactions for the quarter.
Thanks!
UPDATE: after testing, we found that the card readers were transferring data too quickly for the Citrix connection, resulting in Citrix dropping/skipping characters from the XML output when reading it into Tessitura.
Using the IDTech demo software, you can adjust settings of the reader. We changed the Polling Interval from 1ms to 2ms with positive results. In the demo software, to get the current polling interval, send 52 14. To adjust the current setting to 2ms, send 53 14 01 02.
After 30days of transactions, we have ZERO invalid card data errors. I hope this helps some future user in the same boat.
