Barcode Import

We explored Barcode Imports a few years back, but are just coming back to it now. Are any of you using the Order Export/Import utility for this? Anything you would advise to an org just looking into it. Was it pretty simple to tackle or did you need assistance from the Network and/or a counsultant.

About 9 years ago we hired JCA to create this type of Import so we could integrate Ticketmaster data, but just about when the project completed we convinced everyone to never use TM again for anything. I think complicated projects like that left some scars on some of us and I want to make sure it is really as simple as the documentation seems.

Thanks!

  • Hey there,

I know this a relatively old thread, but I am just now exploring ways to do this at Second Stage. How did you end up moving forward in this process? I know the Kentucky Center does a bar code import with Ticketmaster data so all tickets can be scanned using NSCAN. They drop orders into individual constituent records with a $0.00 value price type.

Here at Second Stage, for our Broadway house, we'll have to scan through STAR scanners. I have to get bar code information over to them from Tessitura, but I also want to do an import into Tessitura with attendance data. Any suggestions for doing this based on your findings?

    Thanks!
