Re: Constituents with multiple logins unable to loginNEW

Hi Chuck,

We use TNEW and may not have the same exact problem, but we do have quite a number of people people very frustrated by the "Forgot Login" process - whose older logins we've had to delete so they can start afresh - especially now that we use TNEW's Guest Checkout function.

I have been toying with the idea of deleting web logins that haven't been used for x number of years (and perhaps all of the web logins associated with Guest checkout records without constituent-created passwords) to try to reduce the confusion.  Does anyone out do this?  If so, with what parameters?

Thanks - Catherine Goodwin (Harbourfront Centre)

Has anyone out there run into issues where constituents with multiple logins are unable to login on the website? We’ve found this happening recently and are unable to pin point if this is a new problem or a has just now come to the surface. Obviously all of the constituents with the multiple logins / multiple email addresses were created during merges so we are trying to see if this is an issue with our merges or with our web. These particular constituents are unable to login even if the password is reset and the only way to regain access is to manually delete all of the other logins in Tessitura leaving only one. Any insights would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Chuck Buchanan New York Philharmonic

  • Hi Catherine, I have exactly this problem, and am trying to sort out how best to deal with it. Deleting older logins seems like a good solution, but remember that logins are tied to email addresses, and email addresses may contain information (contact point preferences, for instance) that you want to maintain, and I'm not sure what will happen if you delete and then recreate a login through TNEW. --Gawain
