Constituents with multiple logins unable to login

Has anyone out there run into issues where constituents with multiple logins are unable to login on the website? We’ve found this happening recently and are unable to pin point if this is a new problem or a has just now come to the surface. Obviously all of the constituents with the multiple logins / multiple email addresses were created during merges so we are trying to see if this is an issue with our merges or with our web. These particular constituents are unable to login even if the password is reset and the only way to regain access is to manually delete all of the other logins in Tessitura leaving only one. Any insights would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Chuck Buchanan New York Philharmonic
  • Hi Charles, Are you using TNEW or your own site? TNEW I find supports multiple logins on a customer record mostly comfortably. One thing to be wary of, though, is how that interacts with households. You can have a case where the household has logins and the primary affiliates have logins. All logins will transact (i.e. orders will be set to) the household, but other things may not. The first thing I noticed was Interests: if you set Interests through TNEW, they are set on the account (individual or household) of the login, they are not fixed to the household. It occurs to me writing this that I also need to check how things like Web Rankings and Pricing Rules behave. --Gawain
  • Okay, I believe this is an issue specific to your website, as we are able to have multiple logins on a single account.

Hi Charles, Temporary logins left over from older versions of Tessitura will cause the problem you have encountered. You will need to get rid of all old temporary logins. Thank, Ahmet Unal UMSL/Touhill PAC
  • Hi Gawain,

    No, we aren’t on TNEW.

And this isn’t for emails duplicated across constituents or even constituents within a household.  In most cases it’s a single constituent with multiple different email addresses as logins.  See mine below – all three of those logins get an error when I attempt logging on the web and another error when I attempt to  have the passwords reset to login.  This makes it impossible to access the site unless the extra logins are deleted.

    Chuck
