SQL Server Table in Google Sheets

This is probably a bit crazy, but... has anyone ever explored this? I've got some big custom reference tables that I want to surface to a wider audience inside my organization. We already use google sheets to collaborate on stuff like this now, but then someone has got to make the updates in SQL Server manually. I know you can connect Excel to SQL Server, so I'm hoping this isn't completely nuts.
