SSRS Navigation Issue

Hello,

I have created a report that has the ability to jump to a sub report. My question is: Is there a way to jumb back to the parent report? My report is using SSRS POST so there is no back button. The report is being launched within Tessitura Reports.

Thanks for any help,

  • Christian, this may not work if Javascript is disabled.

Create a small text box on the sub-report with the text “BACK”.  Then in the Properties window of the text box, go to the Navigation tab, enable Jump to URL with “BLOCKED SCRIPThistory.back(1)” as the URL.

The other option is to right click in the browser window and select Back from the context menu.

  • Ryan,

I tried adding the textbox with the navigation jump to URL feature. When I click on the textbox, it brings up an internet explorer browser with an error.

I am launching this report from Tessitura Reports in a RAMP environment. It does not appear to be a browser launching the reports. Thus, I am not able to do the 2nd option either as their is no browser window.

  • I am having the same issue. I have a textbox with "BACK" on it and the navigation is set to jump to url: BLOCKED SCRIPThistory.back(1). If the main report is set up as SSRS POST clicking the textbox opens an IE window with an error. If the main report is SSRS URL, it works. Is there any way to make this work other than switching from SSRS POST to SSRS URL?
