I'm wondering if anyone else has used plans maintenance to track email steps at length. When I try to update multiple constituents with an email step and add the email in the notes field the characters are limited to a few lines. When I add a step on an individual record, not through multiple plan maintenance I can add a seemingly unlimited email chain to track communications for a whole day.
Is this a technical glitch, or user error?

I track email correspondence using Plans and as far as I can tell, you're correct; there is a limitation on the notes when you're using Plans Maintenance versus individually updating steps on a plan-by-plan basis.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that you can add attachments on a Plans Maintenance mass update either.
Hopefully, a future enhancement request could address this so that we could get more lines in the notes under Plans Maintenance and be able to easily use the mass update instead of being forced to do it plan-by-plan or (more likely) not at all given the amount of time that would be required.

Based on what I'm seeing, it still is not possible to add an attachment to a mass update of Plans or Steps via Plans Maintenance (we're on v15.0.1).
Hello there, just confirming what Brian said. Plan steps can be added in bulk, but those steps cannot contain attachments.
