Appending Data services

Hi Tess Users-

I am looking for information on Data Appending services. Such as what company did you go with and what services are you using them for (Demographic info; Financial info; Education level; etc). In addition - how did you bring the data in and out from Tess?

Thank you in advance for any specific information you can share.

  • We use Peachtree for our data append. We send them our individual accounts, not our HH and the information we get back is entered as an attribute. We do the append every two years and create a new attribute for each append (PT13 for 2013, PT15 for 2015, etc). By using attributes we can create list of constituents for each item and use the Manage Attributes utility to import them to the record as well as remove the old append. We ask them to do:

    • child age
    • children in home
    • dwelling type
    • est age
    • est income
    • exact age
    • gender
    • homeowner type
    • HH composition
    • length of residence
    • marital status
    • median home value
    • median income
    • median yrs in school
    • month of birth
    • # of children
    • property type
    • year of birth
