I'm wondering if anyone has experience importing ticket scanning data from another database. We present performances in venues that we rent, and we've recently had a few venues start scanning our tickets using their own bar code scanners. I can get a post-show report that shows which tickets have been scanned in successfully, but I'm not quite sure how to get that information into our database. I have a hunch that I should be able to write an UPDATE query in SSMS, but I'm not sure which of the various tables I would need to update in order to accomplish the same thing as scanning a ticket on our own equipment. Is anyone else in a similar position? What have you done to record attendance?

We are still working through a business case here to build a solution that will automatically transfer data from third party systems into Tessitura. It's kinda an enhanced Order Import Utility.
One of the aims is to transfer barcode data so that we can offer our Resident Companies (each with their own Tessitura licence) the ability to do PAHT and for that to work with our N-Scan licence.
I probably can't help at all with your query above, but am keen to see what others are doing (or are thinking of doing) in this space.

Actually, what you're trying to do sounds very similar to what we've set up with one of our venue partners (also a Tessitura client), except we're pushing our barcode data over to them and then they're using the Order Import Utility.
I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about the process. I can also put you in touch with the IT staff that set up the order import on their side. I know that they're using TR_EXTERNAL_BARCODE_SOURCE in the process, but since they set it up, I couldn't tell you how or share any local procedures, etc. Feel free to shoot me an email if there's anything I can do to help!
