We use our scanners in multiple venues and used dedicated wireless hot spots for our internet connection. We have had an issue towards the end of this past season with one scanner periodically not connecting to the hotspot even when it was sitting right next to it. The other scanners all connected fine. After lots of restarting of both the scanner and hotspot it will eventually connect, but right before a concert when patrons are filing in this is not really an option to troubleshoot. Has anyone else had this issue with the Motorola scanners? I have not found any other settings that help the issue. Thanks!
MC55's, right? The only thing you can do is to turn off SSID broadcast, setup MAC address filtering for the WIFI, adjust the time out in the admin settings and hope for the best. You may want to consider something else. We are in the middle replacing them. Good luck!

If you have a support contract, I would suggest sending the one unit out for repair. It may be something in the scanner itself.
