Change the General Screen labels

Hello,

Is it possible for me to change the General Screen labels in Tessitura so instead of saying Locale, the label says City.

Any suggestions.........

Thank you very much in advance.

In short, yes.  The ability to change screen labels was introduced in Tessitura v8.0.  Below is the v8 Release Note that addressed this new feature.

    v8.0 Release Note 274:
It is now possible to change the screen text on most field labels and column headings and some checkboxes, radio buttons command buttons and group boxes in Tessitura.  Members of an Administrative group can change the text by Ctrl-Alt clicking on the label to be changed.  If the clicked text is editable, a popup window will appear showing the default text value and the current value.  The current value can then be edited and saved.  A Reset button and a Reset All button on the popup window will also reset the current control or all controls to the system default values, respectively.  There are several things to keep in mind with this new feature: It should be used sparingly.  Every change that is made makes the documentation somewhat more difficult to follow.  Any changes made affect every user.  There are a few screens, where for technical reasons it is not possible to change screen text.  This feature does not work on any reports or custom screens, which can already be customized.  The control that you want to edit must be currently enabled.  For example, you can't change the text on a command button until the button is enabled and active.  Any custom text that is entered must fit in the allotted screen space.  If too much new text is entered some of it may be cut off.  If you change screen labels on controls which have a keyboard shortcut (in that case the letter of the shortcut will be preceded by the '&' character) you can change the keyboard shortcut.  But if you change the shortcut to a value that is already in use, unpredictable results can occur.  Finally, there is a new control on the preferences window that will temporarily set the screen text back to the default values for the current user.  This option was added to make it easier to follow documentation or for a user to be able to report something to Support using common language.  Unlike other user preferences, this new option is not saved after a session is ended.
