Dear all,
I'm looking for a report that will
a) allow date filtering
b) show me results for sales in this date period, with the GST (tax) clearly distinguished from the total.
Currently we are having to use about 3 reports that are then manually manipulated to back out the GST. This becomes trickier when we have a ticket that is part GST applicable and part Donation (GST Free).
Has anyone come across a report that can fulfill these requirements that is in the standard report set?
Kind regards
Anne MacDonald - Australian National Academy of Music
Hi Anne,
This might depend on how your ticket prices are built. If you use price layers then you could use a Ticket sales by Period report and only select the GST layer.
Ah, ok thanks Tim. Possibly wasn’t quite clear enough. Also, wasn’t involved in building the tickets, but I do think Price Layers are being used.
I’m looking for a report something like:
Event Sales (ex GST) Total GST
For a specific period
In other words – something that can show me (in one report), total Sales, total GST, by a number of Events, by a date range (usually a YTD to EOM).
It may well prove to be the case that without a custom designed report, I will need to run a number of different reports – and the one you suggest will at least give me an accurate total GST figure.
Thanks again
Anne

Thank you Brian
I’ve had another look at the Ticket Sales by Period which seems to be able to give me this break out.
I’m sorry, not aware what “My Daily Tickets Shared report #321” is?
Thank you

My Daily Tickets Shared report #321 creates a warehoused table broken out by price category, if this is how your GST is stored.

Brian is referring to Solution 321 in the Shared Reports workspace in TASK. This is a report that Brian created and shared with the community. You can find instructions for accessing Shared Reports here:

Oops Brian, timely reminder. Had not checked this out yet, but I will today and let you know.
Thanks

Were you able to get this ok? Please let me know if any of the pieces are missing.

Hello again
I followed the instructions given by Bryan Evans
Got as far as this step – there was no such drop down or ability to find Shared Reports.
To be honest, the number of clicks and steps you have to go through (and log ins) just to look at a shared report (which should be available easily to all) is ridiculous.
Anyway – didn’t have any more time to keep trying to work out how to get “here”.
Thanks anyway
4. Click the TASK Login button
5. Find “You are in the User Support Tickets workspace” and click User Support Tickets
6. From the dropdown that appears, choose Shared Reports
The dropdown only appears when you click on the words User Support Tickets in the sentence "You are in the User Support Tickets workspace." When you click on User Support Tickets, that phrase will be replaced by the dropdown menu.
Thanks,Bryan
Thanks Bryan – got there!
Regards
