Does anyone have a list of supported TRBO credit card swipers they can share?
We have a ways to go technologically before we're ready to move to TRBO, but I know it is in our plans in the future. I'm about to order credit card swipers for the third-party mobile fundraising software that we use while we wait to implement Tessitura upgrades and hopefully get approvals for Android tablets.
Ideally, these credit card swipers will be compatible when we do make the switch to TRBO, but I can't find a list of supported swipers anywhere.
If anyone's curious, we're looking at the Magtek Udynamo, since it is usable on both Android and iOS devices, and is supported by our third-party mobile fundraising app.
Hi Summer! Glad to hear you all are thinking towards using TRBO!
The Motorola ET1 works with its standard card reader accessory. For consumer grade devices (like a Nexus or Samsung Galaxy), the IDTech UniMag II is supported.
A few more details are available in the TRBO Installation Document.
Hope this helps!
Nick
Thanks Nick, that's helpful. Just checking, is the IDTech UniMag II the only reader supported for consumer grade devices?
Hi Summer!
Yes, these are the only supported swipers at this time.
Thanks!
Ok, one more question! Do you happen to know if TRBO will ever be available for iOS devices?
Hiya!
Just wondering if anyone has been successful in connecting the IDTech UniMag II to their TRBOs, and using them in actual transactions. Ours aren't connecting, and I'm not getting any help from the IDTech Support team.
Happy for any tips or tricks if you've got them!
We're also having issues with UniMag IIs and TRBO. We're using Samsung SM-T377a consumer-grade tablets, and while we can get the swipes to work with the IDTech app, we can't get TRBO to recognize it.
Hi - we use Galaxy Tab and UniMag - we can successfully swipe and transact with Visa. When swiping a Mastercard the TRBO fields are populated and it looks like it will work the same as teh Visa but MC cards always throw an error, we tried many things with support around payment methods and related settings and even ran a trace but could not resolve. Currently we resort to typing MC details but plan to return to trouble shooting this issue.
