Before I even attempt to figure out how to do a nested report in infomaker I'm wonderingif it is even possible to add one to a custom tab.

What if you created the custom screen as a web page and the report as an SSRS report. Could you not then embed the SSRS report on the custom web page screen and still update the data for the screen?
Sadly we are not currently using SSRS nor will we anytime soon. Thanks for the idea though.

SSRS is just a good choice. You don't have to stick with it. You can try Crystal report with web pages. I think web page can do anything as a custom tab. or even DIY your report with gridview or datagrid. The good thing for web page is your customization will survive from climate change of Tessitura.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all about it but it's just not a possibility with our current IT structure. Thanks for the links, I'll do some research and see if I can make a case to get it on someones radar though.
In the meantime I'll find some other way of presenting this information unless someone can confirm it's possible to have a nested report in the constituent custom tab and still be able to edit the base report.
