We have been using MC75s with NScan for the past few years. Previously we were using them with Sonicwall SonicPoint APs and for the most part, they worked well with these APs.
I installed a new Ruckus wireless system with R700ac APs last week. The MC75s are experiencing some strange connectivity issues with the new APs. The MC75 connects quickly to the AP and appears to stay connected. However the MC75 loses connection to the server quite frequently. Most times the only way to get the server connection back is to reboot the unit. Even when the MC75 cannot communicate with the server, I can ping the MC75 from another device. According to the AP the MC75 never loses connection. I ran pings to the server IP address from the MC75 and let them run for over 10 mins and it never loses a packet. Only from within NScan does it lose server connection within a few mins.
I have the MC75s set to "CAM" mode so that the device does not go to sleep and turn off the WiFi to conserve battery.
Anyone else experience similar connectivity issues with the MC55/75 using newer ac access points? Has anyone tested changing settings for 802.11d / 802.11h on the MC55/75? Was it successful? Does forcing 2.4ghz make any difference?
Does anyone know if there are any WiFi driver updates available for the MC75?
Any thoughts would be appreciated. I'm going to do some heavy testing on Mon morning.
