All, our RMA sales curves are going funky. As per RMA consultant, it’s because the way we treat exchanges – we do exchanges (primarily for subscription) in new order(s) instead of the original order. We are working with JCA to find a fix or do some customization without changing our business process. Anyway, we are just curious to know if there are other companies who are using RMA and also do exchanges in different order(s). In that case, do you see any issue with this and/or how are you handling this? We also like to hear about how others (may or may not be RMA users) are handling exchanges in general. Any comment or feedback would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Mo,
We are not RMA users so I can't speak to that part of your problem. But in regards to exchanges, we do them in new orders so that we can apply exchange and balance capture fees.
Thanks Beth. Good to know that we are not the only company who do the exchanges in new orders.
We also always do exchanges in new orders for the same reasons that Beth outlined above, not to mention it helps to keep subscription orders from becoming too messy and complicated when trying to look at them later and figure out what happened when.
We though are also not RMA users either, so still no help there.
Thanks John. Thanks for elaborating your rational behind it. This helps.
