I am working on a solution which will hopefully limit the number of sales per price zone per performance. My first problem is I can't find a systems table which holds this information per performance which I can manipulate to kills sales once a limit has been reached. Does anyone know if such a table exists?
My second problem is that I know exactly what I want to do but can't seem to get very far. Price type, easy. We already have a stored procedure which ends sales once a limit has been reached. Price zone, nope.
I am looking at an unseated paid sales solution for those shows which need to go on-sale without a seating map. We need to restrict the sales per zone in addition to the price type. For example:
20 performances with 100 Full Price tickets: / 40 Zone A / 20 Zone B / 20 Zone C / 20 Zone D.
Zone B sells out for a 10 performances, therefore goes off sale (for that zone only) for those 10 performances. Zone B remains on sale for the performance it's not sold out.
I have a strong feeling this may not work but I thought I would ask the question anyway. Not ready to give up just yet :)

This was the work I did for the Young Vic. I didn't find a solution but I did raise an enhancement request for this functionality to be available in Tessitura.
I have a workaround solution, which you will need your DBA to build for you.
