Education User Group

In the Security application, go to Groups. Then click New at the bottom. After you create the group, select it and click on Users at the bottom. Then move users you want included to the right section.

I posted this in the Education forum with no luck, so I thought I'd try here. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I would like to create a new Education user group in Tessitura for my Education team. Is there anyone out there that has set up a user group for EDU that enables users box office and development access or whatever other access we may need to use Tessitura for Education? Right now we have very limited use, so we're basically just using it as a CRM.  I'm (somewhat) fresh from the Tessitura Conference and I'd really like to get Education better integrated in Tessitura.

Hi Halley,

We have a user group we created for our Education team. I suspect actual setup of an Education user group will vary from organization-to-organization, but I’d be happy to share how ours is setup. Are you interested primarily in the Security Objects that group would need, or other parts of the group setup, like MOS, reports, etc?

Thanks for your responses. It seems like every time I get on a role with Tessitura management another work fire takes me away...

Anyway, David, yes, I'd love to know what your basic permissions are for Education users since they need access to development features (plans, activities, etc.) and box office features (ticket sales). Right now we are using a marketing group that allows us to create lists, extractions, and run reports, but it doesn't give access to the ticket order screen, or household operations.

Apologies that I don't have better language to describe this. I'm learning as I go with no in-house dba. Gloria, I'd love to hear what particular sections you allow your EDU users to access, too.
