Membership Renewal Notices - not doing anything?

Hi everyone,

Our Marketing department is interested in using the Membership Renewal Notices report, primarily as a means of mass promotion, but also to get CSV data output.

I'm trying to get it up and running and I feel like it's not.. doing anything.. at all..?  I run it and it immediately returns a blank page - I try to save as CSV - nothing to Save.  It looks like it should be calling AP_RENEWAL_NOTICES - I checked last exec time for that object = never been run.  In report setup, the Report Type says System Window.  Is this my issue? Should it be changed to Infomaker?

Confused...

Thanks for any help,

Frannie

    Hi Frannie!

The very first time we set up Membership Renewal Notice we ran into a similar (the same?) issue: no format existed for a renewal letter so running that report didn't give us anything to merge.

In T_FORMAT_INFO we created a new entry called NYCC Renewal Format with a Gooesoft Report ID of Renewal and a D Object of ld_renewal_format_nycc.  When we run Membership Renewal Notice our Format is NYCC Renewal Format, and we use it for Membership Renewals at all levels.

So where did that format come from?  We had it made for us; I believe the basics were done in-house but then we also had our suggested upgrade amounts put in and we used Tessitura consulting for that.
