Hi all,
I was wondering if any of you have used any screencasting software to create training videos for your staff. I am looking create those types of sessions (as well as, possibly, some help videos to put on our website for patrons on how to do things like exchanges, buy season tickets, etc). Currently I'm playing around with the free version of ActivePresenter. I do enjoy that I can first do my screen capture of what I am going to be training and can do the voice-over after. I also like that I can add arrows and text boxes as well as add test questions and such if I wanted. It seems like a super powerful PowerPoint product. However, I'm experiencing issues with opening saved projects that will cause the program to crash. Granted it is the free version so that might be the reason.
With that said, I'm reaching out to all of you for guidance on what you all might use if you are doing video training for your staff.
Thanks much.

I'm sure I'm speaking to a minority here, but if anyone else uses a Mac (with Tessi running in remote desktop or virtualization), Quick Time Player can generate extremely high quality screen recordings, and an inexpensive ($10) piece of software called Mouseposé available on the App Store can offer a tremendous amount of function and polish -- also great for live demos.
