We're considering using quick sale for concessions in our performing arts center. Just wondering if anyone is currently doing this and is willing to share their experience (good or bad.)
What type of hardware are you using? Is transaction time fast enough for concessions?
I'm considering a compact "all-in-one" touchscreen computer with a small swipe keyboard.
Anybody willing to share their experience with this would be appreciated.
Hey Todd, Tom,
We used QuickSale to sell merchandise when we had The Giants (Royal de Luxe) in town and it definitely was quick enough. We had touch screen laptops with an optional mouse and an EFTPOS machine connected. The events/merchandise only had one price type set up (we called ours 'Quantity' as we didn't have ticketing staff selling these).
Most of our transactions were processed with cash and we didn't have Contactless/PayWave set up on the EFTPOS machines so it was all PINs, though this didn't slow us down. We serviced around 2000 orders over about a 6 hour period and nobody complained that the processing was slow.
Let me know if you need any more technical specifics and I'll find out for you.
Tim
Tom,
are you guys using Quick Sale for concessions yet?
Hey Tim.
How is it that you only had one pricetype? You had multiple price zones? You must have had things at multiple price points. I'm beginning to set up concessions on TRBO and I want to approach this correctly so I don't have to redo it later.
Thanks in advance.
