Tessitura in a VDI/RDHS environment

Hello,

We're considering using virtual desktops for our environment much like you would see at a hospital where the actual desktop is running in a server. I'm talking more like a Cintrix set up not just simply running a few VM's in Hyper-V. I was wondering if anyone else is using a VDI environment running Tess?

  • Hi RaJon,

Our consortium members all access Tessitura via Remote Desktop. We have one terminal server that runs Tessitura and T-Stats, and all of our users log into a very dumbed down session on that terminal server that only lets them run those two programs. Works for us!

  • Hi RaJon,

We’re doing essentially the same thing as Katie. Running Remote Desktop Services (RDS) isn’t equivalent to VDI; however, it can be a good option for certain needs and is generally easier and less costly to setup.
