As part of our V12 upgrade adventure we came across a problem that had me scratching my head for quite a while.
I'm posting this just in case anyone else runs into this problem.
SSRS seemed to be correctly configured and was accessible but I was getting an application error in the Tessitura client when I ran an SSRS report.
I spent a lot of time messing around on the SSRS side but the problem was that the ASP .NET State Service wasn't running on the application server. This service had been set to a manual start up.
Our application server has been running for years and has been restarted many times. I don't recall ever having to start that service so I assume something has changed in V12 (or it could've been a Microsoft patch).

This is an additional step in the V12 upgrade process. There is a section called "Start and Set the ASP.Net State Service to Automatic Startup Type" in the V12 upgrade documentation.
