SSRS and AP_Get_Parameter_Values

Hello,

Can someone please walk me thru setting this up in SSRS? I have a problem everytime and though I've managed to get it to work before, I struggle this time (actually everytime).

I must be missing something! I've tried adding the @request_id in the parameters window, I've tried not adding it there and just putting it in the parameters tab of the dataset, etc..

Thanks,

Sheila

  • Sheila, if you download the sample reports from last year's webinar or from this year's conference (from my prelude presentation), there is a v8.0 and v9.0 "report template" that shows how I use this procedure to display Tessitura parameter values in a report.

  • Thanks Ryan. I have my own example to follow, and I did get it to work. Not sure what I did differently - I have problems when trying to get the fields populated for the parameter dataset.

  • There are other parameters in the procedure that can be used to pull the last report request parameter values without knowing the request id. These can simply be passed as NULL when refreshing/populating the dataset. In the parameters tab of the dataset, they can be hardcoded with NULL values using "=System.DBNull.Value".
