I have a user that is a member in multiple groups, four presently, based on her job description. I'd like to create a new group for her combining all of the security and permission levels from all groups into one "custom" group just for her. Is there an easy (i.e. not as complicated as other methods) way to do this?
In the interim, she is needing the ability to create appeals and sources codes. How do I, through Tessitura Security, assign these permissions?
You need to give rights to the following security objects:
Campaigns Module – View
Cpgs Appeal Display – All rights
Cpgs Appeal Edit – View and Edit
There is no way to merge user groups, but you can copy user groups. So you can copy one of the groups (ideally whichever group has the most rights) and then add too it the rights from the other three groups. There’s still some work involved but it’s a little better than starting from scratch.

if a user is made a member of multiple groups, do the securities conflict with each other?
For example: Let's say Users in Group "A" can do task "X", but Users in Group "B" cannot. If a User is part of BOTH Group "A" and Group "B", and log in under Group "A", will they still be able to do "X" or be denied that right?
(it's ok to say - "just read the manual I sent you"...)
User Groups are not collective or additive in their permissions. You have the option of selecting from a list of assigned user groups, but you can only choose ONE user group when logging into the application.
