I am just wondering did anybody do any kind of comparative study (advantage and disadvantge) between hosting Tessitura (1) Locally (private cloud) vs (2) on RAMP vs (3) Using any other third party cloud service (IaaS - Infrastructure as a Service) and willing to share their results with us. Our primary concerns are:
1. Flexibility/Ease of Use: we do a lot of in-house customization. We don’t want the system to be too process oriented and bureaucratic
2. Availability: Percentage of up-time
3. Reliability: Frequency of breakdown/failure
4. Backup, redundancy and security
5. Any PCI concern
6. Cost
7. Bandwidth requirement
You can also directly email me at mfaruqe@national.ballet.ca. If we can have a discussion with anyone (specially someone who hosted Tessitura using a third party cloud service) over phone that would be great.
Advance thanks for any comments and/or sharing your experience.
Best,
Mo

Hello Mohiuddin
Just wondering if anyone replied to your post.
Hi Desmond, we got only one reply and that was on hosting Tessitura in the Amazon Web Service (AWS). Nothing about MS Azure or any other public cloud hosting service. Anyway, we checked with the MS Azure team for some time and somewhat abandoned the idea for now. We have strated hosting our website on MS Azure though. We are currently checking with a local (Toronto based) cloud hosting provider for Tessitura hosting.
