Silly Question Time!
In the dreaded InfoMaker 12.5, I'm trying to alter a report. Concerning trying to connect to a DBProfile, when I try to create a new one, what Database Interface do I use (ODB ODBC, OLE Microsoft OLE DB, etc.) for connecting to my server? I think I did it with OLE Microsoft OLE DB, but I think it was looking at Master by default and I didn't know how to tell it to look at Impresario. Why me no smart?
Thanks for any help, Tessiturians.
Try "OLE Microsoft OLE DB", then under properties -> extended properties, enter "database=impresario". See if that works.
I wasn't under the impression that 12.5 was supported/compatible with Tessitura 11 or 12 -- aren't we supposed to be using 12.1?
I laways forget the extended properties. here is what out setup looks like.
We are currently testing compatibility between Infomaker 12.5 and Tessitura 12.x, but have not announced support for it. At this time, Infomaker 12.1 (build 6950) is the only fully supported version.
Problems may occur because of the difference between the versions of the PBVM (Powerbuilder Virtual Machine) that 12.5 uses as you create your objects, and the earlier version that they will run under when used within Tessitura.
That being said, we'd love to hear feedback from those of you who have successfully used InfoMaker 12.5 to create custom screens or reports that run within Tessitura.
This would not surprise me. Unfortunately, all I have is 12.5 and people were clamoring for me to alter a canned report (which I abhor).
