Hi all, we need to install .Net Framework 4.5 in our live Tessitura application server (which is currently running .Net Framework 4.0) for NScan v6.0. Any of you did this before and experienced any issue with Tessitura or website after upgrading to 4.5?
As per NScan v6.0 upgarde document "The Tessitura 12.1 services can also run with .Net Framework 4.5 so if you intend to run the N-Scan service on the same server as your other Tessitura services you should upgrade the framework version before continuing with this installation." So apparently it's safe. Still I want to double check.
Thanks for any feedback.

Hi Mo,
Our live v12.1 app servers runs on Windows Server 2012 with .NET Framework 4.5.1. We have had no difficulties with any of the services including REST and SOAP APIs.
Thanks,David
Thanks David for the info. This helped. We just finished ours. All look good so far.
Best,
Mo, did your install of 4.5 require a server reboot? I read that it does not, but don't trust Microsoft all that well! We also have tessitura services as well as our webapi running .net 4.0 on this same server and understand that 4.5 will replace 4.0. Do those services get shut down when installing 4.5 do you know?
Thanks,
...Dave
Hi David, my record shows we did reboot after the upgrade to ASP.NET 4.5. We did it early morning when users are not around to minimize the disruption. As far as I can recall, it was not forced by Windows, we just did to be on the safe side.
