Wayne, great job! We can print just fine now. Thanks for sharing your insight.
Cheers,
Matt

Wayne
When I open the URL in IE, I don’t even get the printer icon. Even after going into dev mode and changing it to ie10, I still don’t get the icon.

Hi Fernando
Reporting services looks like it needs to be run in compatibility mode for the print icon to show, but there seems to be a conflict between compatability modes and ie-edge. This is a microsoft - not tessitura issue.
The same file on your reporting services location (db server) I believe is set to ie-5 (I think - im not on the system to check). The webservice might use this, but this iis service looks like a re-written reporting services engine with tess tweaks.
To try it out without making any changes to any system. These are client side only.
Tun any RS report
Right click somewhere and get the full url inc the auth token
Open IE 11 and paste the link
Try to print (wont work)
Press F12 on the IE window (developer mode)
Change ie-edge to ie-10 and the report will reload
Press print and it prints
Caviat: Dont change your production environment without speaking to tessitura first. Test environment only.

Thanks for this info and the video. As per this link http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6771258/whats-the-difference-if-meta-http-equiv-x-ua-compatible-content-ie-edge-e, it seems that “edge” should be compatible with IE 11 too. While you were researching this, did you see any mentions of this not being the case? It might be just a bug or that I’m not understanding how the setting works (most probable scenario J).
I’m reluctant to try this right now. We recently upgraded to version 12.1 and we have been going through some SSRS reporting problems that we are still working to fix. Don’t want to add another change right now, but will try it in a couple of weeks.
Thanks again.

Hi Guys
I think I've got it. If anyone that is following this thread and on IE11 is prepared to have a try that'd be awesome (said in The Lego Movie accent).
Edit the file (your location may vary):
C:\services\Tessitura\Services\TessituraWeb\Reports\ViewReport.aspx
Change line 12 from
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge">
to
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=10">
Save the file and try printing a report in the client

I am having the same problem. Since no other people on the company were having problems, I thought it was a problem with my computer which i was going to research when I had more time. But I have IE 11 installed, so I guess this explains it. My work around is to save the report as PDF and then print it from Acrobat Reader. A little annoying but not enough to convince me to roll back to IE 10.

Thanks. We are on IE11 and dont have the option of rolling back to IE10 without quite a bit of work.
If its a known bug, they'll be a fix at some point then I guess.
Time for a bit more digging from me.
Thanks for the ideas etc...

Wondering if you are on IE v11 and this has anything to do with that incompatibility, i.e we had to roll users back to IE v10 to get the SSRS print button to work.
