We recently updated my computer from XP to Windows 7. There is an HP laserjet 1200 connected directly to the printer port on this computer and it prints fine from all programs except Tessitura. Tessitura doesn't recognize that the printer is even connected. We have tried all the drivers that windows 7 will allow you to install and had no luck.
There was a thread with a similar complaint and the printer suddenly started working for him so there wasnt a solution. Any ideas of the steps to take to get tessi to recognize installed printers?
Additional info:
There are printers that Tessitura will allow me to print from, networked printers in other areas of the building. I have also tried uninstalling the local HP1200 and reinstalling it as a network printer but that didnt seem to work either.
Is your printer connected via USB? We have had some trouble if a USB-connected printer is physically removed from the computer before the computer is shut down completely. In those instances, the only solution we have found is to re-install the printer on the new USB port. This has happened more with our BOCAs, but it could be a similar issue with that HP printer.
