We've just upgraded to v12.0.3 and I'm looking for some validation (or warnings!) regarding price layers ending and price events beginning. Prior to our upgrade I'd already made dynamic pricing changes to upcoming shows.
In v11, when a price needed to increase I would expire the current price map and add the new one. Those changes now display as Price Layers in v12. When the price needs to change again I want to use Price Events.
As price change decisions occur I think that I should expire the price types on the latest "v11 conversion" layer of the performance and add a new layer that will live out the rest of the performance's days as the layer in which Price Events occur. I suppose I could start making Price Events on that latest v11 layer, but some shows only have 1 layer, some have 2, 3, etc. It just seems cleaner to create a new "v12-onward" layer.
Does this seem like the best way to tie off v11 price layers and begin v12 price events?
