Tessitura v12 on SQL Server 2014

Hi,

Has anybody tried running Tessitura v12 on SQL Server 2014 ?

 

We are setting up a new dB server and rather than install SQL Server 2012 and then upgrade to 2014 later, we are wondering if we could go with 2014 from the start.

 

I understand the option with the software assurance license but just querying the option of going directly to 2014.

    Jason, you have summed this up well.  Here is the link that was provided in July below to a related Support Alert that was posted on www.tessituranetwork.com back in March, 2014 regarding upcoming required updates for Windows SQL Server, Windows Server and Windows Desktop operating systems that I hope will be helpful reference for everyone.

    Troy, Tessitura v12.x is compatible with both SQL Server 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2012.  Tessitura v14, anticipated for release in early 2015, will be compatible only with SQL Server 2012.

    Jumping in a little late here...

    So just to be clear, at this point the entire v12 branch is supported by either 2008 R2 (or) 2012.  However, since MS support for 2008 R2 has ended as of July, there may be a small amount of risk to asses for v12 users when staying w/ 2008 R2 vs upgrading to 2012.

    v14, then, will only be compatible with SQL Server 2012.  And possible support for 2014 may be announced at some point in the future. 

    Does that about sum it up?  Thanks.

    I know this is two months old. did you find your answer? We are still on 2008r2. We figured jumping to SQL 2014 when v14 comes out seemed logical.
