Hi,
I'm curious as to how many Tessitura clients are updating account records from address hygiene reports. We get quarterly reports from TRG of people who have moved and I've been asked to investigate how we could update these records. There are over 2000 records and instead of hiring a bunch of interns for data entry, I figured I would reach out to see if anyone else has a solution that has worked for them.
It appears that the TRG file would need to be tweaked before I could update using the NCOA utility.
Anyone have any advice or experience with this?
We vetted QAS, TRG and eBay/MBS when we looked at doing NCOA for our consortium. In essence the “product” that you will get is pretty much all the same; updated addresses and phone records. There is some spin that each put on, but it essentially all is the same product. The biggest difference, or the qualifier for us, was the price. It was a substantial difference. I’d suggest first obtaining the number of records by doing the NCOA Export Utility from Tessitura Test (after a Live to Test of course), and use that number to get price quotes from the three. You might be surprised at the huge discrepancy in amounts– we definitely were.

We're embarking on a data hygiene project, so forgive the "newbie" questions...
What is the difference in Experian QAS (which there is now a TNEW integration for) and the other companies mentioned - TRG and MBS/eBay Marketing? I spoke to a QAS rep yesterday and he talked about doing a de-dup cleanup to reduce our duplicate accounts, as well as address verification. Is that similar to what TRG and MBS/eBay do?
Any info is greatly appreciated!

Oh Jackie, that's good to hear!
Do you modify the returned data manually or do you have a procedure that does it for you? How do you use the NCOA process to complete it when there are columns that appear to be missing?
