Switching over to Element and Upgrading Tessitura to v12 at the Same Time

Hi all, we are contemplating on switch over to Element, and planning to do both v12 upgrade and switch over to Element at the same time. Did anybody try this? Do you see any issue with doing both at the same time; our major concern is isolating any troubleshooting issue. Our other option is to first install Element while we are still in v11, and once all look ok, upgrade to Tessitura v12. Thanks for any comment or suggestion.

I would strongly recommend doing them separately. You absolutely correct. Doing these two things at once is setting yourself up for a troubleshooting nightmare.

  • I’d agree with Jason.  Keep the Risk down.  Do one make sure things are stable and then do the other. Unless, there is a huge reason to do both at the same time.

  • Hey Mo -

Double and triple ditto! While, in theory, you should be okay in doing both at once, moving to Element is enough of a change that I'd have people get comfortable with it and make sure it is rock solid on your end before going up to v12. There were definitely some bugaboos with v12 and Element (that have since been cleared up - yay for beta testing). If you know one thing is solid then troubleshooting isn't quite as hard.

    My 2 cents,

    Heather

  • Thanks Jason, Tom, and Heather for your advice and suggestions. I am glad that I asked in the forum before going ahead with this pan J
