Does anyone know how to activate the "Create event invitations" check box. The tick box to allow the event invitation to be created it is greyed out.

Is the source type you're using "Outside"? If so, it needs to be "Inhouse", you then use a list created in List Manager.

Oh I just saw your attachment which kills that idea.
When you created the Campaign did you select "Elevated Event" and then "New"?
Is your Campaign Name the name of your Elevated Event? It needs to be so it can associate the two things.
