Ticket Reprinting with restricted access

We have a security user group that does not have access to complete ticket orders but does need access to reprint tickets. Is there a way to grant access to reprint tickets without having the ability to purchase tickets?

  • Michele,

There is not a single setting to make this work but you can get pretty darn close. For a user group give them view rights to only the following: Ticketing Orders Module, Ticket Printing, and Ticket Reprinting.  Give them rights to at least one uncontrolled batch type, and modes of sale for any orders they will need to reprint.  Remove rights to any price types for the user and payment methods if possible.  With these rights in place they will be able to print and reprint tickets.  They will be able to add line items but will get an error and not be able to proceed as they will not have any price types available.  They will also be able to increment the number of seats on an existing line item but will not be able to seat the additional seats so at worst they would cause the order to have a total due and add unseated sub line items (if the MOS allows).

  • Thanks so much for the response Anna! This is exactly what I ended up doing in Test using the wonderful Table of Security Objects document!
